Reading in Ehren*feld - queerfeminist reading series in Cologne*
The literary scene has a representation problem. FLINTA* authors and queerfeminist topics are ignored, pushed into stereotypical roles and barely visible on the big stages. We no longer want to sit in the passenger seat. We take the space in the field. With stories that don't need to be adapted, defused or explained.
Reading in Ehren*feld is a new reading series in Cologne Ehrenfeld that makes FLINTA* perspectives visible - unfiltered, unorganized, outrageously important.
For the third edition, we read from "It doesn't take much" by Helena Steinhaus (and Claudia Cornelsen) - a non-fiction book that seeks to hold the German welfare state to account and how people living in poverty are treated.
