In times of energy crises, climate issues and political unrest, the European Union is facing enormous challenges. But what is actually at the heart of the European Union? How is the EU organized? Which institutions are part of the EU? How does the EU make its decisions? And isn't the EU actually much more than just a political construct?

In this graphic novel, comic reporter Kokopello embarks on a journey to understand the organization and structures of the EU and to find the true heart of Europe. He travels through eight countries, holds moving conversations, meets politicians such as Emanuel Macron and Volodymyr Selenskyj and sheds light on what the EU means to people.
