Dara Brexendorf presents her novel "Paradise Beach", the evening will be hosted by Magda Birkmann.

About the book:
Ada has hardly slept since she started taking medication after her endometriosis operation. She listens to the sounds of her house and remembers the summer of her youth, which she spends with her cousin Lill in her home on the Baltic coast. The days are dominated by perfecting her own body and meeting Elja, who rocks Ada's world. But in the middle of this summer of 2003, a pain begins, and with it the silence that increasingly separates Ada from her outside world.

About Dara Brexendorf:
Dara Brexendorf, born in 1991, lives as a freelance author and literary mediator in her home town of Kiel. She moderates the reading stage at the Literaturhaus Schleswig-Holstein and is part of the podcast Literarisch, Solidarisch and the literary magazine Der Schnipsel. She studied media and literary studies in Kiel and Mainz, then literary writing in Hildesheim. In 2025 she received the Liliencron Prize for Young Poets from Schleswig-Holstein.
