The debate about migration is often about numbers, quotas and procedures.

People discuss border protection, repatriation agreements and faster deportations.

But who is actually still talking about the people?

On the occasion of the recent World Refugee Day, we want to do just that - look, listen and remember. The book "Cause of Death: Flight" documents the fates of people who died while fleeing to Europe - at sea, at fences, in camps, during deportations. It is a silent testimony to what happens when political systems lose their humanity.
