Hardly anyone has had such a lasting impact on German post-war history as Konrad Adenauer from Cologne. He would have been 150 years old on January 5, 2026 - and the volume "Adenauerianer", recently published by Dittrich Verlag, celebrates this anniversary.

Together with his co-editors Hugo Bergham, Christoph Hardt and Henner Löffler, Adenauer's grandson paints a portrait of his grandfather and his political work. The focus is not only on Konrad Adenauer himself, but also on the personalities around him who shaped the "Adenauer era" in their political, cultural and social activities.

These include Rudolf Augstein, Felix von Eckardt, Hermann Pünder, Elisabeth Flickenschildt, Hans Schwippert, Caterina Valente, Josef Cardinal Frings, Group 47, Herbert von Karajan, Josef Neckermann and the "wonder horse Halla".
