German pianist Levi Schechtmann, known as LEVI.SCT, is the face of a new generation of musicians who are completely redefining the classical concert experience. His viral social media success with over a million Instagram followers is backed by solid craftsmanship, thanks to his classical training: As a young student at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, he was trained by the renowned pianist Anna Vinnitskaya and won prizes such as the Steinway Competition at an early age. Today, his art is a wild mix that fuses the depth of classical compositions with the energy of hip-hop and house beats. In this way, he transforms the grand piano into a sound machine and pursues a clear "classical music mission": he wants to take music out of its elitist corner, break down fears of contact and ensure that going to a concert becomes as natural for young people as going to the movies.
