Liebesgrüße aus Italien – Hör-Abend mit Wolfram Goertz

Wolfram Goertz is the chronicler of Düsseldorf’s music scene and has long been an institution at the festival. When the music editor of the *Rheinische Post* takes the pulpit at the Neanderkirche, the audience is in for a treat. “Greetings from Italy” is the evocative title of his new program, which revolves around music composed south of the Alps. The spectrum ranges from Ennio Morricone to Giuseppe Verdi and from Adriano Celentano to Vincenzo Bellini. The program will also incorporate suggestions from the audience that Goertz has received via email; the selection remains a surprise. This cult-favorite evening, themed “Trust Your Ears,” guarantees deep emotion and “aha” moments—and a bit of cheerfulness isn’t out of the question.
