Live: EFEU

In the organizer's words:

EFEU are 6 Viennese exiles and were founded in the summer of 2022. The first single was followed by the two EP's Alle' and Kein Glanz' in 2023. Their releases were followed by their first concerts in Austria and Germany.

Their debut album entitled "EGAL" was released last year in fall 24. Impulse without a second thought is the driving force behind the new release. EFEU stand for music that they themselves like to listen to: Guitar rock, bluesy emotion and driving (post-)punk.

EFEU writes with love as a collective. With only instruments in their hands and devoting themselves to the vibe. The writing process is always accompanied by live shows. Often only sketches or unfinished songs were performed. It is always interesting to look for feedback from the audience in order to incorporate this knowledge into the creative process.

The album EGAL comes at the end of a time that has changed a lot. Youthful recklessness that is too good to be given up chases around restlessly and uncoordinated in the black cellars of Viennese concert halls and clubs.

Between unprocessed emotion and a desire for energy and live concerts, the songs like to stand on each other's feet in the turmoil. A game of alternation and interaction are central. Self-irony contrasts with the tendency to overestimate oneself in a healthy way.

It goes without saying that the classic repertoire of rock music is used instrumentally. With the new album, they plant themselves between everything that is, just to let what they are in the mood for blossom.
