The Bayreuth lyric wave cult formation around Oswald Henke is going on a farewell tour with "Dystopie frisst Empathie IV". In addition to new songs and classics, they will also be joined by the Belgian cult band "The Arch", who will be celebrating their 40th stage anniversary in 2026!

GOETHES ERBEN are considered one of the style-defining bands of the Gothic scene in the 90s. The formation around frontman Oswald Henke has been active since 1989 and has been constantly and steadily developing ever since. GOETHES ERBEN describe their artistic work as "German-language music theater". An apt definition for such a multifaceted project, in which the lyrics, which are more spoken than sung, always have a very special significance. At its core, it is about giving words to emotions and thus allowing the listener a personal interpretation of their very own emotional worlds.

The fourth part of the last GOETHES ERBEN European tour "Dystopia eats empathy", which began in 2025, will take place in October 2026. Founded in 1989, the band celebrates its very own form of musical theater at its very special live concerts. Each tour block of the "Dystopie frisst Empathie" tour has a different setlist, because GOETHES ERBEN want to present as many songs as possible live again in the remaining three years of this tour. So "Dystopie frisst Empathie" is an episodic staging of their own past, but is also rooted in the present, because even if no more new albums are released after the release of the 10th studio album "X", the band will continue to play new songs, but only live. Depending on the space available on the stage, the performance varies. On large stages, Ida Gross reinforces the live band with her dancing, which has now grown back to six members. Lighting, video projections and dramaturgy make every performance a special and, above all, unique event. Because what makes GOETHES ERBEN so special is that the audience becomes part of the production and the mood of an evening can be very different despite a similar setlist. They are emotional rollercoaster rides that their long-standing fans are happy to embark on. At GOETHES ERBEN's performances, people cry, laugh and dance, suffer together and, despite all the gloom, convey hope. Musically, anything is possible between noisy industrial and delicate string sounds, electronics or piano miniatures, and many words and content have lost none of their impact and bitterness even after decades. On the contrary, many a line is more topical than ever. In any case, concertgoers can expect a rollercoaster of emotions, as GOETHES ERBEN have left emotional traces on many of their loyal fans. What was is a gain for the past and remembering is always a source of strength for the future and everyday life.

THE ARCH (Belgium) >>> Gothic | Wave
The Belgian new wave band THE ARCH was founded in Breendonk, Belgium, in the summer of 1986. Under the direction of Ludo Camberlin, the well-known producer of The Neon Judgement and The Weathermen, the first album "As Quiet As" was released in 1987 with the underground hit "Babsi ist tot", which still fills dance floors today. With the song "Ribdancer", which was released three years later, THE ARCH achieved worldwide fame, and extensive concert tours took them all over Europe. During this time, the band were able to underpin their reputation as an excellent live act and shared the stage with Peter Murphy (Bauhaus), The Mission, Clan Of Xymox and The Neon Judgement, among others. They have also played at numerous festivals such as Wave Gothic Treffen, Wfest, BIM, Dark Malta, New Waves Day, NCN and M'era Luna and were headliners at Sinnersday 2021. Further concert tours are planned in the wake of the new album. With "Sanctuary Rat", THE ARCH once again impressively succeed in enriching their own band history with ten new energetic songs
