A stellar career, husband and supposedly happy nuclear family - Constance Debré is leaving all that behind. The daughter of a prestigious French family, she gave up her marriage and legal career in 2015 to devote herself entirely to writing and start affairs with women. She chronicled her transformation from a wealthy career woman to a single lesbian in her book "Play boy". In Love Me Tender, she now describes the consequences of her life-changing decision: For while her breakout brings with it an incomparable gain in freedom on the one hand, it is accompanied by a bitter custody battle over her son on the other. Debré speaks honestly and courageously about love in its many forms, about lesbian identity, about desire and about motherhood beyond conventional expectations.
