In the organizer's words:
Ludwig Bergsträsser (1883-1960), historian and former DDP member of parliament, was part of the Leuschner resistance network of July 20, 1944 and remained undiscovered. In his secretly kept war diary, he describes everyday life, hunger, Nazi crimes and the failed attempt to overthrow the regime. The book is being published for the first time 80 years later by Schüren-Verlag, edited by Ludger Fittkau (Deutschlandradio). The illustrations are by Charlotte Montag.
