Just under ten years after the musical’s premiere, the film adaptation of “Mamma Mia!” was released in 2010.
Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) and Sky (Dominic Cooper) want to get married, but first the bride wants to finally meet her father. She reads the old diaries of her mother Donna (Meryl Streep), who runs a small hotel on the Greek island of Kalokairi. In doing so, Sophie discovers three potential fathers: businessman Sam Carmichael (Pierce Brosnan), banker Harry Bright (Colin Firth), and adventurer Bill Anderson (Stellan Skarsgård). To determine which of these distinguished men is actually her father, Sophie simply invites them all to her wedding.
