Marktkonzert: The 415s

Sometimes exuberant, sometimes melancholic, sometimes both at once: With their program “In Taverna,” the ensemble The 415s explores the unique atmosphere of taverns, inns, and social gatherings from centuries past. There, people ate, drank, discussed, celebrated—and, of course, made music.

The four musicians, hailing from different countries, met while studying in Bremen and share a passion for early music. With vocals, transverse flute, viola da gamba, and harpsichord, they bring historical songs and instrumental pieces to life. In doing so, they tell stories of joie de vivre, friendship, longing, and the profound emotions that have always accompanied humanity.

A concert evening that blends the atmosphere of a round table with that of a tavern—full of music, stories, and sonic discoveries.
