mixes Afro and Afro-American influences with groovy basslines, funk guitars, distinctive horns and electronic beats. In September, the label is on tour in Europe with two bands, bringing fresh sounds to the continent.
KING EDI K (MEX) - Main Act
King Edi K brings the afro-jazz of the 60s from West Africa into an electro/funk vibe. Writer and producer Edi Kistler transforms his healing process from a chronic illness caused by a bacterium into the album called "High Fever". The rhythms reflect induced fevers, the lows of his suffering and the highs of his recovery. The music is influenced by Nigerian and Ghanaian Afrobeat, jazz improvisations, highlife, electro and funk-mantra bass lines. Edi Kistler is a composer and music producer and founder of MATANGA RECORDS.

TUNKUY - Support Act
Tunkuy is the artistic project of the Mexican-Chilean producer Iván Jaque. His music combines Afro, dub, electronic elements with Latin American rhythms and dancehall to create a unique soundscape. His debut album "Pulmari" describes the diverse landscapes of remote communities in South America and combines them with the ceremonial syncretism and pilgrimages of Nordic cultures.
