The Bouvier-Sauvage family looks back with pride on a long line of aristocratic ancestors. When the only daughter announces her intention to marry the son of a humble Peugeot dealer, the family is less than thrilled. At the first meeting between the prospective in-laws, both sides quickly realize that they’re separated not only by their preferences for wine and cars, but by entire worlds. To make matters worse, the future bride and groom have commissioned DNA tests that reveal more about the ancestry of those present. “Oh la la”—now the mood threatens to take a complete turn for the worse, because the test results could bring down more than a few family trees and call the wedding off.
