The world is a madhouse—so shouldn’t we be kicking off the wild days of a refreshingly irreverent cabaret? Trump keeps throwing surprises at us one after another. Can we still keep up, or is this too much even for political cabaret?
Admittedly, democracy has seen better days, and there’s no shortage of pessimism these days. Even a Rhinelander can’t bring himself to utter his credo so easily anymore: “Et kütt wie et kütt. Et hätt noch emmer joot jejange.”
