Whether as the celebrated star of the artist residency or as the trusted host of the emotional open-air sing-along concerts during the Christmas season, Mutzke has left his mark on Monheim. In his program "Du und Ich", Max Mutzke dispenses with electronic pomp and big band arrangements. At his side, the exceptional Cuban pianist Marialy Pacheco shines. She was the first woman ever to win the renowned "Montreux Jazz Festival Solo Piano Competition" and is revered worldwide as the official "Bösendorfer Artist". Pacheco combines the rhythmic heritage of her native Cuba with the precision of classical training to create a performance that is sometimes percussive and powerful, sometimes fragile and elegant.
