Michael Hatzius - "Echsklusiv"

The multi-award-winning puppeteer Michael Hatzius brings his very own absurd madness to the Kulturraffinerie K714. With "Echsklusiv", the Berlin master of improvisation, winner of the German Comedy Award among others, serves up a satirical multi-course menu that has it all: At the center, of course, is the wise, detached lizard, who shines with his inimitable view of current events and the future. He is accompanied by a quirky ensemble, including the constantly arguing pig couple Steffi and Torsten, a choleric tick, a shy chicken, a "woke" unicorn and - as a security guard - a very grumpy carrot.

The fact that the show has been filling the halls since its Berlin premiere in 2025 is mainly due to the "exquisite" day ticket: Hatzius masterfully interweaves the fixed program items with spontaneous interactions, which means that the evening does not remain a static production, but is created anew with each performance. Virtuoso puppetry and comedic repartee collide here as Hatzius breathes life into his ensemble in real time and the audience becomes an immediate part of the satirical action.
