Minigipfel JAZZFESTIVAL FREIBURG 2026

With opening concert by the Linus Rebmann Trio

Established since 2002: the mini-summit of the Freiburg jazz scene! Loud, quiet, bluesy, wild, electronic, experimental but above all jazzy!

This year, too, the pubs in the green, in the city center and in Haslach will be full of music.
You can stroll through the venues with your Minigipfel pass and get something to listen to - an evening full of possibilities. We'll meet at the Jazzhaus for the kick-off, then we'll spread out to the pubs. As every year, our Minigipfel "regular pubs" will be represented, but there will also be a few unplayed venues.

Linus Rebmann from Freiburg will open the Minigipfel with his trio at the Jazzhaus. The Linus Rebmann Trio is a young formation that inspires with its refreshingly innovative and at the same time deeply rooted understanding of jazz. The trio's dynamic interplay unfolds across a wide musical spectrum, from quiet, lyrical moments to ecstatic outbursts.

Awarded the prestigious Deutschlandfunk 2024 Studio Prize, the main prize of the German National Youth Jazz Competition, the group presents its exciting debut album "Listen to the River". With their original compositions and creative reinterpretations of well-known standards, the well-rehearsed ensemble brings jazz to the stage in all its versatility and creates a special experience for everyone who loves music.

The jazz festival is a cooperation between the E-WERK Freiburg and the jazzhaus Freiburg. The Freiburg Jazz Festival is funded by the city of Freiburg and the state of Baden-Württemberg and sponsored by Sparkasse Freiburg - Nördlicher Breisgau and the Ganter brewery.
