Mommy Issues

Five bodies, one memory. A woman meets herself - at ten, at eighteen, at twenty-one, at thirty-five and fifty-four. They talk about their mothers, about what remains of mothers when you are no longer a child yourself. Between sheets and needs, they negotiate origins, role models, care, share memories, pain and the longing for a place of refuge that perhaps no longer exists. Mommy Issues is a chorus of soliloquies, a body that asks itself: Who are you, mom? And who am I when I am no longer looking for you? I carry you inside me and try to let you go.
