Das Vergessene Kind
In the organizer's words:
A birthday. Two twins, a family, lots of presents, everything seems familiar. But a child is superfluous that nobody seems to know and something starts to move. A mother who lives in dreams. A grandma who watches and rewards more than she hugs. A father who is tired and sleeps. A big sister who hides her love in the bathroom. Strange neighbors who help when there's a fire. The family photo is prepared and it is sorted out who belongs to it. Figures emerge like thoughts in dense scenes and at high speed. Memories are repeated and forgotten. Past and present Germany overlap, East and West, generations talk to each other at the same time. What is swept under the carpet and what pictures are hung on the wall? Family as a mirror of a society full of symbols, ruptures and humor. A comedy, a family drama, a chamber play, a surrealistic nightmare, a kaleidoscope of the everyday. Terribly nice.
The children's and youth ensemble of the Ost-Passage Theater, 10 - 14 years old, has been working together for several years. They train, improvise and discover. Understanding the world through play and creativity and telling stories as a team.
