The last Saturday in January is not only the World Day of Hearty Laughter, but we are also proclaiming the "Munich Disco" night. The pushing protagonists of the early morning are Gizmo and Steffen Lengler. The former was a 50 percenter in the duo Gizmo & Mac, but is now a solo DJ. Since the release of the single "Pulse" in 2021, Gizmo has been on a steady upward trajectory. His tracks "Rush" and "Overdrive" even reached the number 1 position in the international techno release charts on Beatport. With over 3 million streams on Spotify and releases on renowned labels such as Codex Recordings, Iboga Records and Alaula Music, he has made a name for himself in the scene. Steffen Lengler may not yet be operating in these streaming dimensions, but his EP "Playhousemusic" in 2024 really made people sit up and take notice. His Beatgreed podcasts also continue to be a reliable source for dance-loving people. The best thing for them to do is turn up to the "Munich Disco" night and get their soles smoking again.
