A sequence of metallic frames unfolds along the raw wall, oscillating between drawing, object and spatial construction and creating a fragile, almost skin-like pictorial logic.
The starting point is the human body as a socially shaped and simultaneously changeable surface. Clothing appears as a carrier of traces: movement, pressure, friction and change are inscribed in textile materials and thus become legible as a kind of memory of the body. The works deal with notions of gender, beauty and identity as well as with the social images and norms that affect the body, especially bodies read as female. Transparent glass surfaces that enclose textile materials create an ambivalence of presence and withdrawal. Physicality appears fragmented and identity as an unstable process. The title Enter and Dissolve refers to this tension: to the entry into physical and material states (enter) and at the same time to the continuous dissolution of forms and boundaries between body, clothing and space(dissolve).
In addition, Lempert's works open up transitional spaces between human, animal and fantastic forms, in which transformation appears not as a state but as an ongoing process that continuously renegotiates bodies, role models and perception.
