Musikgarten Konzert mit Philine Sonny (Solo)

Live sessions, authentic sounds, and a unique atmosphere

Musikgarten is a concert series at Areal Böhler where international artists perform in a unique atmosphere. Starting in July, the concerts take place outdoors in Böhler Park—amidst the evening sun, open meadows, and an urban industrial backdrop, these special open-air concerts create a genuine sense of closeness with the artists.

Since 2024, the Musikgarten has already brought many different artists to the stage: from Dutch superstar Douwe Bob to Australian songwriting sensation Asha Jefferies to local stars like Lina Maly and zeck. This unconventional and high-quality lineup has already thrilled more than 5,000 audience members.

Concert tickets are deliberately priced fairly at 15€ to ensure this unique musical experience remains accessible to as many people as possible.

About the Artist: 

Philine Sonny is taking her destiny into her own hands. Just two years after the Germany-born alt/indie singer, songwriter, and producer released her cathartic EP “Invader,” Philine continues her rocky journey of self-discovery with hope and healing on her captivating debut album “Virgin Lake,” which will be released on April 3, 2026, via Nettwerk. Partly inspired by Benedict Wells’ coming-of-age novel “Hard Land,” which Philine first read in 2021 and revisited last year during a stay in Norway, “Virgin Lake” is a portrait of the singer’s personal growth in the face of family estrangement and the accompanying spectrum of emotions: anger, sadness, grief, compassion, and understanding. Philine’s journey mirrors that of Wells’ literary protagonist, the teenager Sam, who—in an attempt to distance himself from his problems at home—finds new friends, his first love, and a new (more mature) perspective on his own family.
