In the organizer's words:

The Leipzig Song Scenepresents: Leipzig’s first FLINTA* song reading stage!Masha Potempa& Marsha Richarz want to get to the bottom of the pressing issues of our time and, together with the audience, envision a more just future. Stars of the song scene share their perspectives and hopes. And of course, there’ll be plenty of music and verbal fireworks.

PAULA PAULA creates perimenopausal, dystopian-romantic riot pop with an unshakable love for humanity and lyrics that slap you in the face with one hand while extending the other toward ultimate reconciliation.

With her second album “Heilige Scheiße” (release date: June 5, 2026, Listenrecords), frontwoman Marlène Colle distills her current view of the state of the world into ten poetic songs, ranging from tender ballads to political anthems to synth-heavy dark pop hymns. Following her acclaimed debut “schade kaputt”—which featured over 100 concerts, a sold-out vinyl pressing, appearances on ARD’s “Ladies Night” and Till Reiners’ “Happy Hour,” and rave reviews in *Spiegel*, *taz*, and DLF Kultur, PAULA PAULA now ventures into the heart of the manure pile to fish out the sacred humus pearls from society’s collective composting process.

Two powerful voices from the Leipzig scene have joined forces as hosts to ensure that, for this one event, the proportion of women is higher than that of men. They know how to sensitively weave both personal and social themes into words and music, garnishing them with a dash of madness, and have already been honored with several awards for their work:

Marsha Richarz is an author, stage poet, host, and much more. She performs pieces about life, feminism, body image, and washcloths. In doing so, she manages to weave politically relevant topics humorously, charmingly, and satirically into everyday observations and situations.

Masha Potempa exudes quiet humor and immediately hits you over the head with her poetry. With a warm voice, acting talent, and a keen eye for detail, she navigates the emotional landscapes and tensions of everyday life, skillfully maintaining both sensitivity and edge.

As the evening progresses, courage is called for and things get exciting—a surprise guest from the audience gets to take the stage! And the audience gets the chance to directly influence the theme of the next evening—and the new texts and songs that will be created for it—with their wishes and visions for the future.

Courage & Dignity—what about you?
