»Nach der Sonne schauen« Lesung mit Martina Hefter
In the organizer's words:
A woman, a hall, a dog on the screen—and the wind outside. Installation artist Iona Bartschok retreats to Leipzig’s Neuseenland after one of her most important works was damaged. She wants some distance, peace, and a fresh start. But then her dog Bella runs up to her, and shortly afterward, Nova—the landlord’s feisty niece—appears at the door. And as the rain floods the streets, life pushes its way back into the hall. Martina Hefter, who won the German Book Prize in 2024 for *Hey guten Morgen, wie geht es dir?*, combines language with movement as a dancer and performer. Her new novel (Klett-Cotta) tells with a unique lightness of touch the story of
withdrawal and responsibility—and of the power of unexpected encounters.
