Nana Rashid is a Danish-Zanzibari-Omani jazz singer and composer whose music occupies a unique space between Nordic jazz, soul and blues. Her sound carries the quiet melancholy of Scandinavian jazz traditions while drawing on the emotional depth and warmth of soul and blues, creating a musical language that feels both intimate and searching.

With a voice that shifts effortlessly between tenderness and intensity, Rashid creates songs that transport listeners into a world of emotional honesty and contemplation.

In her lyrics, Rashid explores questions of identity and belonging. Influenced by her multicultural background, she reflects on the complexity of finding one's place in the world - about roots and distance, difficult love and the expectations placed on women. Her music does not seek simple answers, but rather creates a space in which vulnerability and strength coexist.
