Textiles have been dyed with plant dyes for centuries. In this intensive course, you will learn the entire process of plant dyeing - from preparing the fabrics to various color experiments.

In this intensive course, you will immerse yourself in the world of plant dyes and learn how colors are obtained from leaves, bark and other natural materials. You will learn how to prepare textiles correctly and how different plants and fibers influence the color result.
In addition to practical dyeing processes with regional and traditional plants, you will discover how simple modifications can be used to develop a wide range of color nuances. You will also gain an insight into historical dyeing traditions and a basic understanding of working with natural materials.

This is what you will take home with you from the workshop:

• Knowledge to continue working with plant dyes yourself
• Self-dyed fabric samples
• Everyone receives a piece of fabric measuring approx. 30 x 30 cm per color, as well as other fabric samples to test
• We use these to create a large textile color palette that you can take home with you
• We dye with 5 natural dyes
