CAST
Meret Becker — Actress & Musician
Axel Brüggemann — Host
The Bremen Philharmonic
Meret Becker rose to fame, among other roles, as investigator Nina Rubin in the Berlin-based “Tatort” series. In her many film roles, she continually reveals new facets of her talent, with a particular affinity for characters on the margins of society and in states of emergency. Her powerful presence lends even supporting characters a special charisma.
Born in Bremen, she grew up in an artistic environment where music and theater naturally intertwine. This influence runs through her work: experimentation, pushing boundaries, and the constant shift between forms of expression.
In addition to acting, she has been active as a musician for many years. She has released several albums, given numerous concerts, and developed her own musical universe that blends chanson, folk, blues, and theater. On stage, she combines singing with unusual instruments—including the accordion, saxophone, music boxes, and the “singing saw,” played with a violin bow. Her music thrives on nuances, breaks, and silence—a style she herself describes as “Musique en miniature.”
In*My Playlist*, this complexity becomes audible. What music accompanies a life spent between film sets, concert stages, and the studio? What sounds represent a career that constantly reinvents itself? And which songs tell the story of an artist for whom every role also means transformation?
In conversation with Axel Brüggemann and accompanied by the sounds of the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra, an evening unfolds that blends music, memory, and artistic self-reflection—intimate, focused, and full of unique sounds.
The“My Playlist”series turns music into a topic of conversation: a guest, their favorite pieces, and the stories behind them—played live, told live.
