Odonische Freitagsbühne

The Odonische Freitagsbühne is afree concert series that takes place every Friday from May through September in Odonien’s sculpture park. It offers local and regional musicians—especiallyup-and-coming artists—a valuable opportunity to present their music to an audience.

Free admission, 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; donations for the artists are appreciated.

7:00 p.m.Mischa Vernov, a singer-songwriterand indie artist from Cologne, is a multi-talented artist who explores the boundaries of music and wins over the hearts of his audience with his unique combination of style and expertise.

8:00 p.m.Sufian & Plush RebelTheresonant and soulful sound of the oud meets the expressive versatility of the cello. Longing melodies, infectious rhythms, moving harmonies, and innovative playing techniques come together in artful compositions and lovingly detailed arrangements. The result is a refreshing and unique blend of Mediterranean, North African, jazz, Western classical, and pop/rock influences.

9:00 p.m. Reishas beentouring stages across Germany since 2022. It’s unmistakable that the band draws from different musical genres, which is precisely what gives “Reis” its special charm. Jazz, perhaps—but definitely “Reis.” @reisfromwithin

7:00 p.m. Das Ende der Liebe—roughlytranslatable as “The End of Love”—uses sounds, which are frequencies, which are us, to guide us. By tuning in, we dream. To walk the journey is to become one with it. Rebirth is a constant. “Das Ende Der Liebe” dreams the Hofmann dream, reimagined in a 2020s style. Beat, sounds, void. Every bar, a new life. The biosphere overflows with electrical impulses, and the birds rejoice. Let us transcend love and celebrate a new dawn.

9:00 p.m.MIC IN THE FACE IS NOT ON PURPOSEisthe electrifying collaboration between Cologne-based drummer Jo Beyer and Dutch electro-pop artist FRÉ. A meeting of energetic acoustic drums, shimmering synths, and fearless vocals. Their sound bridges the gap between the club and the concert hall: adventurous art-pop and electronica pulsing with cinematic energy. Think driving beats, vivid textures, and moments that blur the line between rave and dream sequence. With FRÉ’s magnetic stage presence and Jo’s high-voltage drumming, the duo creates a world you can dive into. Music that moves your body and lights up your mind. Beneath the surface, their work carries a subtle awareness of what it means to use your voice and platform in a noisy world.

7:00 p.m. Since its founding in 2019,MISS MELLOWhas beenjoyfully exploring psychedelic soundscapes. The band has found its home in the musical playgrounds of the ’70s. The Munich-based band’s sound blends krautrock-style psych with sprawling jam sessions; clean funk entwines with dirty fuzz, and heavy stoner riffs collide with psychedelic escapades. 

8:00 p.m. The Golden Helmetsbringtheir Farfis-infused garage-punk-rock-soul punch to the stage—raw, dirty, energetic, and guaranteed to be hipster-free. From party-seasoned legends for everyone who loves sweat, beer, and real action—Raw Power, baby!

9:00 p.m.THE Go FASTER NUNS Thebeat-punk band THE Go FASTER NUNS takes the stage in their original lineup (T. van Guzyfer, Mr. 65.2%, Prince Charts, and DD Windisch). Formed in 1997, they quickly earned a reputation as an unpredictable and spectacular live band.
