Offene Ateliertage 2026

A weekend full of art and encounters.

From June 12 to 14, 2026, the artists of the Domagk studios will open their doors - and invite everyone to experience art directly at the place of creation.

The location

Domagkpark, in the north of Munich, is home to one of the largest municipal studio buildings in Germany. Over 100 artists work side by side here - in a building with a long history. The open studio days are their invitation: to experience art where it is created.

What you can expect

Open studios with insights into current artistic processes - from painting, sculpture and photography to installation, performance and contemporary media.

In addition:

- Muralarum Live - painting activities and workshops for children & young people
- Free guided tours through selected studios
- Bar, food stand and a cake container with home-baked delicacies

Exhibitions

For the first time, "Der moderne Seifentyp" can be seen in the KunstKiosk - collaborative drawings by Heidi Mühlschlegel and Thomas Glatz, which were created in an artistic dialog by post, curated by Susu Gorth. Thomas Glatz will also be reading from his poetry collection - on Saturday, June 13 at 5 p.m. and Sunday, June 14 at 3 p.m.

In halle50 we are showing OPEN ENDS - a group exhibition in collaboration with artists from Platform München, curated by Martine Klein. A reaction to the closure of the PLATFORM studios and an act of visualization and solidarity.

"Kuchen im Container" can be seen in the pink container - an exhibition by Heinrich Ortner and Betty Bienenstich curated by Betty Rupprecht. There will be smash cake performances and cakes to make yourself during opening hours; on Saturday, June 13 at 3 p.m. there will be a text performance with Felix Eder.

Muralarum Live

As part of Nico Kiese's Muralarum project, numerous artists will be creatinglive murals on various released surfaces on the site. Visitorscan experience the creation process first-hand, ask questions and gain insights into mural and graffiti painting.

Additional workshops for children and young people on Saturdays from 14:00 to 17:00.

Music program

During the studio days, not only the studios open their doors - in the evenings there is also a music program. For three days there will be live music, bands and DJ sets on the Domagk Ateliers site.
