„Ohne Judentum kein Islam: Die verleugnete Quelle“ Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Mouhanad Khorchide
In the organizer's words:
By October 7 at the latest, it had become clear how widespread anti-Semitism is among Muslims worldwide, but also in Germany. In his new book, Muslim theologian Mouhanad Khorchide explores questions such as why anti-Semitism is so popular among Muslims, which Quranic and theological sources serve as the basis for Muslim anti-Semitism and what alliances radicalized Islamic anti-Semitism forms. But Khorchide does not stop at this inventory. He sees Judaism as the foundation of Islam and explains how Judaism served the Prophet Muhammad as the basis and legitimization for his preaching from the very beginning.
Mouhanad Khorchide, Prof. Dr., born in Beirut in 1971, grew up in Saudi Arabia, studied Islamic theology in Beirut and sociology in Vienna, where he completed his doctorate with a study on Islamic religious teachers. Since 2010, he has been Professor of Islamic Religious Education at the University of Münster, where he is now also Head of the Center for Islamic Theology. He has also worked as an imam and religious teacher. He has been the coordinator of the Mercator Foundation's Islamic Theology Research Training Group since 2011 and Principle Investigator of the Cluster of Excellence "Religion and Politics in Pre-Modern and Modern Cultures" at the University of Münster since 2013.
