OPERcussion brings the percussion from the orchestra pit to the stage.
What usually happens in the background becomes the focus here: rhythm, groove, movement.
The Bavarian State Opera ensemble moves effortlessly between Bach, jazz and Latin American influences. Baroque meets Chick Corea, Piazzolla meets improvised passages - all reimagined for percussion.
It's virtuoso, surprising and full of energy.
And above all: extremely well played.
