That's what it's all about
"Blueprint" is an extraordinary pas de deux with the dancer Mijin Kim and the acrobat Leon Börgens. On a playing field of trust, the two traverse human patterns of togetherness with virtuosity and humor. They literally turn classical notions of a pas de deux in dance and partner acrobatics on their head. In doing so, they create intimate gestures of invitation and provocation that linger and shake up our cultural memory.

Why it's worth seeing
Overhead Project has been one of the most influential groups in Cologne's independent scene for more than fifteen years with its socio-critical view of current issues. The company has repeatedly won the Cologne Dance Theater Prize and received the prestigious George Tabori Award in 2022. "Blueprint" deconstructs the classically danced pas de deux with a pinch of humor. Choreographer and circus artist Tim Behren also draws on the history of his own company, which is characterized by partner acrobatics. Overhead Project has been the initiator and host of the CircusDanceFestival in Cologne since 2019.
