For the release of their single "Biertornado", PA69 celebrated the tornado days with a big, fat release party at the sold-out Humboldthain Club in Wedding. But that was just the beginning. The Tornado Days really get going in March and PA69 are coming to Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Leipzig with " Kingmische"! Conscious rap for the unconscious: DJ DOPE, RABATTO and TURBOGIANNI are PA69 (pronounced PI-EY-NEUNUNDSECHZIG), a hip-hop formation from the north of Berlin. On stage and in press photos, the three always wear pink balaclavas and wet and sweaty camouflage suits. In their tracks, PA69 combine jagged, bulky beats that sound a bit like "Bassboxxx" or the early sect with lyrics that are reminiscent of cockfighting "KIZ" in their cynical, ironic lashing out. The result is music for people who have had an earworm from the Bratmaxe song for 10 years, are stuck on 2000s hip hop, drink Monster Energy, fingerboard, eat in XXL schnitzel restaurants, go fishing, listen to EDM at the gas station with the trunk open and wear shoes that light up when they walk. On tour, they will take a stand on the important issues of the world as usual: Criticism of omnipresent consumer culture and supposed norms and standards regarding one's own clothing style - summarized under the credo "1312: Fuck the style police". Because that's exactly what it's all about: while German rap is currently all about the same old topics (status symbols, drugs, women on the one hand; student rap on the other), PA69 make music by special types for special types.
