The music of ABU NEIN moves between club and headphones - the Swedish duo works with classic elements, dark electronic pop music: synthesizers, drum machines, catchy but restrained melodies, resulting in a unique atmosphere. With tracks such as "Cutting Corners", "Love In Vain" and "I Will Rise", ABU NEIN combine cool melancholy with electronic intensity. This makes the duo one of the most exciting bands in the current darkwave scene. Instead of grand gestures, they focus on precision, clear arrangements, a distanced, controlled voice and themes that are hinted at rather than developed. Live, this approach is consistently implemented. The pieces remain focused, the dynamics arise from the interplay of beat, surface and voice. YAKIMA JERA

YAKIMA JERA announce their new album "Kalte Schauer", which will be presented at a release show at Katzenclub on July 11. The duo first gained wider attention with their EP "Capture", released in 2023; at the latest since their convincing performance at the Katzenclub Festival in November 2024, they have scored big with the audience, have been frenetically celebrated and have been considered a strong live act ever since. "Capture" already combined synth-pop, darkwave and 80s influences to create a clearly structured, atmospherically dense sound between cool distance and accessibility. Little is known about "Kalte Schauer" so far, which keeps expectations open and, of course, high. The release show thus offers the first opportunity to hear new material and understand the artistic development of YAKIMA JERA. (Source: Organizer)
