Doris Renoldner and Wolfgang Slanec, who are known as sea nomads and have already sailed around the world twice, talk about their three-year journey during the coronavirus pandemic in their new, captivating and very personal travelogue. With a 13-metre aluminum yacht, they master the route Alaska - British Columbia - Oregon - California - French Polynesia with Marquesas, Tuamotus, the Society Islands and Austral Islands - Hawaii - Alaska. The lockdown "forces" them to spend 14 months in the South Pacific until the two adventurers are drawn back north into the cold. Their account of their journey is captivating, gripping and authentic: a life full of surprises and coincidences, freedom and longing, hospitality and helpfulness.
