Palais Sommer: Geschichten aus der Bibel
In the organizer's words:
Palais Summer Festival: Literature I Free admission
Stories from the Bible | Frauenkirche Pastor Angelika Behnke (DE)
Angelika Behnke, pastor of the Frauenkirche Dresden Foundation, will recite Bible stories. With a sensitive voice and great presence, she will bring the timeless stories to life in a special way.
Is this a joke?
Did the people of the Bible, which is called "Good News", have nothing to laugh about with God? Do Christians go to the catacombs to laugh? Did Jesus tell jokes?
God must have a sense of humor, otherwise he would not have created man. Come with us on a short literary trip and discover humorous, sarcastic and subtle things in the Book of Books.
The Palais Sommer is the big open-air festival in Dresden. It combines music, art, dance, yoga, workshops, literature, gastronomy and much more. Free admission.
In 2026, the Palais Sommer will take place on Dresden's Neumarkt from June 20 to July 26. Afterwards, the daily yoga program will continue in Alaunpark until 30 August. A total of around 200 events are planned.
Sun loungers and tables can be reserved in advance.
