Palais Summer Festival: The World of Film Music - Sorbisches National-Ensemble (DE) I Free admission

"The World of Film Music" takes the audience on a musical journey through film and musical classics - presented by the orchestra of the Sorbian National Ensemble and renowned vocal soloists. Hollywood meets Broadway, adventure meets romance and great emotions meet unforgettable melodies.

You can hear works by important composers such as John Williams, Alan Silvestri, Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, Danny Elfman, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Theo Mackeben. The program was put together especially for this gala by Bernd Wefelmeyer, long-time chief conductor and arranger of the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg.

Immerse yourself in the magic of great moments in cinema and musical history - sit on a bench with Forrest Gump, join James Bond in a car chase, fall in love on the Titanic and sing in the rain.

And, action! The Sorbian National Ensemble will take you on this exciting journey full of passion and adventure!

The Palais Sommer is the big open-air festival in Dresden. It combines music, art, dance, yoga, workshops, literature, gastronomy and much more. Free admission.

In 2026, the Palais Sommer will take place from June 20 to July 26 on Dresden's Neumarkt square. Afterwards, the daily yoga program will continue in Alaunpark until 30 August. A total of around 200 events are planned.

Sun loungers and tables can be reserved in advance.
