The story of Daniel and the lions in the pit
Animals don't play such a big role in the Bible. We know the serpent from the story of paradise, which "seduces" Adam and Eve into disobedience. Or the sheep, which is seen as an example of "lamb-like".
But how did the prophet Daniel fare with hungry lions in the pit of a powerful ruler of the time? This is the story of a miraculous rescue and its consequences.
The Palais Sommer is the big open-air festival in Dresden. It combines music, art, dance, yoga, workshops, literature, gastronomy and much more. Free admission.
In 2026, Palais Sommer will take place from June 20 to July 26 on Dresden's Neumarkt square. Afterwards, the daily yoga program will continue in Alaunpark until 30 August. A total of around 200 events are planned.
Sun loungers and tables can be reserved in advance.
