In the organizer's words:
Palais Summer Festival: Concerts I Free admission
HÜSCH
With their concert program "Songs of Heimat", HÜSCH presents virtuoso German folk music from the heart of Germany in a modern world music guise. The sources, the language and the instruments are regional. The musical self-image and the view of their own roots are global. The musicians transport new and old from their region into the 21st century with sensitivity, fun and skill and a new groove that is contemporary, fresh and rousing. Almost pop songs and enchanting ballads - a musical mixture of the traditional and the modern that has never been heard before.
Live painting with Jens Besser (from 6 pm)
The musical program will be accompanied by Jens Besser, who will express the sounds of the concert in pictures as part of an artistic performance. Jens Besser is an urban artist from Dresden. His work focuses on murals. Besser has carried out numerous projects in various fields of urban art. The Palais Sommer is the big open-air festival in Dresden. It combines music, art, dance, yoga, workshops, literature, gastronomy and much more. Free admission.
In 2026, the Palais Sommer will take place from June 20 to July 26 on Dresden's Neumarkt square. Afterwards, the daily yoga program will continue in Alaunpark until 30 August. A total of around 200 events are planned.
Sun loungers and tables can be reserved in advance.
