Dark Holler came together at a bluegrass session on the outskirts of Dresden. This spontaneous encounter gave rise to the desire to bring this music to the stage together. They play classics by Bill Monroe, contemporary melodies, cheerful grooves and three-part harmonies - very traditionally, with just one microphone.

The Lazy Boys were founded in 1997 as a rockabilly band and have released four studio albums(Mexican Sweetheart, Beelzebop, Shadows, Wham Bam!) and one live album(Live at the Blue Note). In the last 15 years, they have played over 800 concerts and toured throughout Europe and the USA. With their mixture of rockabilly, twangy country, dirty blues and a singer/songwriter attitude, they rock every audience.

The dance group Line Dance VHS has been thrilling audiences with freestyle line dancing for over three years and brings a rousing dance atmosphere to the stage at Palais Sommer. The group combines classic country elements with choreographies to blues, rock'n'roll, cha-cha-cha, rumba or boogie, demonstrating the great diversity of line dancing.

The Palais Sommer is the big open-air festival in Dresden. It combines music, art, dance, yoga, workshops, literature, gastronomy and much more. Free admission.

In 2026, the Palais Sommer will take place from June 20 to July 26 on Dresden's Neumarkt square. Afterwards, the daily yoga program will continue in Alaunpark until 30 August. A total of around 200 events are planned.
