People's Temper // Die Misere
In the organizer's words:
PEOPLES TEMPER
Stadium rock for the bar. No light show, backing tracks, or any other frills. 3 vocals, 2 very low-tuned guitars, and 1 drum kit hit you right in the gut. It’s all DIY and genre-wise, they fall between the cracks. That’s probably why they never made it big commercially.
A long journey through Frankfurt’s underground scene and an even longer list of guilty pleasures. Lots of passion for little pay. But always doing it with love—for over 20 years.
DIE MISERE
The band consists of Boris Pillmann (vocals), Bernd Siedler (guitar), Sancak Sahin (bass), and Hakan Cetin (drums) from Frankfurt and Mainz. German shoegaze/indie/alternative. Powerful, with a touch of melancholy. Intense, expressive. Here and there, electronic elements surprise, blending into the soundscape, and at other times it’s trombones. Lyrically finely crafted, with clear ambiguities here and there.
The four recorded their debut entirely live in the spring of 2024 at Berlin’s Tonbrauerei. It sounds raw, direct, and yet polished. The album gets under your skin and stays with you.
Whether in the studio, live, or through collaborative projects like SEPTEMBER (including SPV) or passion projects like b-ebene or Tiefenrausch, they’ve been steadily forging their own path for years. Now the next chapter has begun: DIE MISERE
