The duo Pépite, founded in 2015 by Thomas and Edouard, has blossomed into a band that is hard to ignore on the French pop scene in almost ten years with its equally delicate and colorful pop. With a record deal from microqlima in the bag, they enjoyed resounding success with their first EPs Les Bateaux (2016) and Renaissance (2017), which they were able to build on in 2019 with their first album Virages.
The duo explores universal themes such as longing and regret, hope and love, with Thomas writing the lyrics and singing and Edouard providing backing vocals and innovative sounds.
After Virages, Pépite set off for new shores and dared to try out previously unheard sounds, which sound quite modern but harmonize with the timeless beauty of their previous compositions.
The evocative title of her new album Les Années Lumière reflects precisely this: a time far ahead of us, close enough to touch, a treatment of universal themes hidden in the everyday. It is the infinitely small in the midst of the infinitely large.
In the concerts of guitar, synthesizer and vocals, Pépite plays classics from his repertoire and pieces from his new album Les Années Lumières from the end of January 2024.
This year, Pépite will be performing at the already sold-out Cigale in March and at the Casino de Paris at the end of the year.
Concert (30 min.) at 21:00, 23:00
