Performancetag - Simultanhalle Köln

In the organizer's words:

As part of this year's SimultanProjekte and the exhibition wittern , we are organizing a performance day on 20.6. from 5 to 10 pm with three performances by the artists Darcy Neven, Philip Nürnberger and Mohamad Moe Sabbah.

In her dinner performances, Darcy Neven combines artistic practice with social interaction, creating a unique, participatory experience over a shared meal. By collecting, transforming and serving food, she creates temporary communities and encourages a dialog about consumption, memory and collective rituals. Philip Nürnberger explores the boundaries between language, body and space in his literary performances - his work No More Ruins deals with the perception and transformation of ruins, in digital and analog space. Moe Sabbah's mask performances explore the multi-layered identities and cultural codes hidden behind the veiling and unveiling. Using masks as a central medium, Sabbah creates enigmatic, often surreal scenes that challenge the audience and encourage them to reflect on the construction of the self.
