We’ve already brought Italy to Heidelberg twice—now we’re adding one more day and stayingin bella Italia forfour wholedays!

Italian classics fill the air, you can feel the warm sun on your skin, and the smell of a steaming pizza wafts toward you. That’s what a day on vacation in Italy feels like. Or simplyPIAZZA ITALIANA! For four days, we’re transforming our outdoor area,theKleine Freiheit, into thePiccola Libertà—sending you on a well-deserved Italian vacation right in the heart of Heidelberg! And there’s free admission.

We’ve listened to you and are setting up additional food stands on the square this year: True to the motto“Gusto e Amore,” you can sample a variety of Italian delicacies under the bright sunshine. Feast on authenticPizza Emozioniby Giuseppe Montalto, fresh, homemade pasta (egg-free) fromMarino PastaArt, street food classics fromthe Forza Food Truck, crispy pinsa with a wide variety of toppings, coffee specialties and other Mediterranean delights fromRadi Platzer, or the legendary panini and oven-fresh lasagna from thePanini Mafia.

All this is accompanied by passionate music—fromItalo Classics to Italo Disco—spun by Italian DJs on the turntables. Look forward to a real highlight behind the decks on Friday and Saturday: Francesco Modesti and Pasquale Cardona, also known asMO.CA! Oh, and don’t be surprised if the DJ suddenly picks up a guitar and treats you to a live performance ofItalian classics.

Of course, our legendaryItaliano Sprizz drink menu is a must on this beautiful day. In fact, we’ve even set up a few special bars right in the piazza! Close your eyes and let the sounds transport you to a day at the beach. Feel the Italian spirit in every beat as you mentally stroll along the beach—a Sarti Lemon Sprizz in one hand and a freshly baked pizza in the other—and feel the fine sand beneath your feet.

Good to know

• Free admission —with this free ticket, you’re guaranteed a spot and will receive the latest information in advance! Your first order includes a small “DJ Euro” fee. This helps us keep the event free of charge despite rising costs and without any external funding.
• At the halle02 bars, only cashless payments (debit card, credit card, contactless) are accepted. At the vendor booths, you can pay using any payment method accepted by the vendors.
• Directions: halle02 at the Heidelberg Freight Yard, Zollhofgarten 2, 69115 Heidelberg. No on-site parking, but excellent public transportation connections (Heidelberg Central Station, Heidelberg South Station, Gadamerplatz): halle02.de/anfahrt 
• Welove animals—which is why they arenotallowedat events, including Piazza Italiana.

Table Reservations

• For each table reservation, you’ll receive a €250 drink credit, provided as a credit code.
• We’ll send you the QR code shortly before the event—no later than 4 p.m. on the day of the event—to the email address you used to purchase the tickets. 
• You can share the QR code with your group members as you see fit (via email or as a printout).
• Please arrive by 6:00 p.m. at the latest; otherwise, we’ll have to release the seats. 
• You don’t need to download the issued tickets; we’ll email the QR code to the person who purchased them.
