Preisträgerkonzert | Kronberg Festival 2026 „Courage!“

For a week, young cellists from around the world worked, studied, and took on new artistic challenges in Kronberg. In the prize-winners’ concert , selected participants from the cello master classes will now have the opportunity to showcase their skills alongside the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn on the grand stage of the Casals Forum.

The program brings together key works from the cello repertoire: Joseph Haydn’s two concertos , Boccherini’s Third Cello Concerto, Tchaikovsky’svirtuosic Rococo Variations, and Max Bruch’s deeply moving Kol Nidrei. Which young soloists will perform which works will be decided during the course of the master classes.

The evening is thus not just a concert, but a moment of new beginnings. It highlights what can emerge when talent meets experience, courage meets hard work, and individual voices come together in shared music-making.
