PICK OF THE DAY

In the organizer's words:

Thursday, August 13, 2026 – Joint Opening with Pride Koblenz

We couldn’t imagine a better way to kick off Koblenz Pride. Together with the city’s marketing department, we’re thrilled to officially open this year’s Pride Koblenz with the film “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Where better to do this than at the Uferkino? The next day, the colorful Pride program continues at the Liebfrauenkirche.

“Two Rivers – One Love” is our motto. With a view of our two rivers and lots of love, we’d like to celebrate diversity and acceptance in Koblenz together with you. Our city comes alive and celebrates as one.

Movie Info

In 1970, Freddie Mercury and his bandmates Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon formed the band Queen. The four men quickly achieved early success and soon produced hit after hit, but behind the band’s façade, things looked far less rosy: Freddie Mercury—whose real name is Farrokh Bulsara and who hails from what is now Tanzania—struggles with his inner turmoil and tries to come to terms with his homosexuality. Eventually, Mercury left Queen to pursue a solo career, but he soon realized that without his bandmates, he was lost. Although he has since contracted AIDS, he manages to round up his bandmates one last time and deliver one of the most legendary performances in music history at Live Aid…
