In the organizer's words:
"Riot Days" is a show based on the memoirs of Maria Alyokhina of Pussy Riot. It tells a story of resistance, oppression, and revolution through a blend of concert, rally, theater, and political happening.
The performance combines live music, spoken word, video, and performance art to tell the story of the group’s activist actions as well as Alyokhina’s experiences in a Russian prison following their infamous protest in 2012.
The new show also addresses issues such as oppression and violence against the LGBTQ+ community, the story of Alexey Navalny, and Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
