...was the name of the documentary by Thomas Schmitt (Tag/Traum), which was even awarded the rating "particularly valuable" at the time.

NO! There will be no movie night tonight!

YES! Today the party starts for those who were there and those who want to know what it sounded like back then.

The sound of the 80s, when "indie" was invented

The soundtrack of the 80s in the pub where it all began.

In the BLUE SHELL (opened in 1979)

It doesn't get more authentic than this! DJ Rolf Kistenich (who has been at the controls himself at Blue Sell since the 1980s, previously at the Gaz Club, Rose Club, M20 and other bars) tells the stories and anecdotes from the early days to the present day in musical form, so to speak.

The early years from 79 to the beginning of the 90s will clearly be in the spotlight!

So: From Sex Pistols, Ramones, Sham 69, Blondie, Gang Of Four, Human League, Depeche Mode, Sisters Of Mercy, Madonna, Lene Lovic,

Kissing The Pink, Killing Joke, No Means No, Fugazi, Stereo Mc's to Die fantastischen Vier, garnished with lots of long-forgotten sweets...

Rockabilly ala' Gene Vincent, Elvis, Johnny Burnette, Eddie Cochran, Stray Cats, and the great influences, role models of the 60/70s ala' Lou Reed/Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop/Stooges, David Bowie, T.Rex, Suzi Quatro will be the salt in the soup...

And when Rolf Kistenich puts it on, he also wants people to dance to it.

They can do that again now. The old fans who are still there, and the new ones anyway.

Just not at the witching hour. But when the family has finished dinner and the children are in bed.
